PALO ALTO, CA – Popular local “Turtlenecks” cover band, “The Nurtletecks,” has been asked to play three songs at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Association Summer Carnival. Lead singer Snaithbert Collins is confident that the show will be a smash hit and hopes that it might generate more interest in the cover band and possibly lead to gigs that aren’t booked by Collins’ Mom.
“Who knows,” said Collins, “Maybe the Turtlenecks themselves will show up to watch us pay tribute to them. That’d be so cool.”
A spokesman for The Turtlenecks was unavailable for comment.
