Matt’s shocking autobiography book excerpt

From Matters of the Heart: My Life as a Turtleneck and the Prison of Working with Noah Belson  by Matt Cappiello, from Otter Publications, LLC

It was at this moment that I looked Noah in the eye and laid down the law.  And I wasn’t talking about law in the eyes of the authorities.  I was talking Cappiello’s Law.  And this law layer-downer was taking no prisoners.
“What’ll it be, Belson?” I asked, looking him as straight in the eye as I could (which was tough because he has a lazy eye—and is in fact quite sensitive about it.  It seemed like a bad time to bring it up, though.)
“Our partnership, or the angel dust?”
He looked back with a glazed stare.  Yet he spoke with a certainty—a cocksure resolution I had not heard from him since he came up with the idea for a non-stick chewing gum (disregarding that a patent for it already existed).
“Rock,” he said–he always called me by my Christian name when he was deadly serious.  “I’m going to assassinate President Kennedy.”
Did the world change two days later in Dallas, Texas?  You bet your ass it did….
